When we arrived at the Check-in, we had to wait about 1 hour. The room was very clean with a balcony, although it was covered in snow. There was a wifi code for every single room. The room where you put your ski equipment was also great. The beds were comfy and there were no stains.|The ski equipment had many types of sizes, which let people in different size also ski with no problem. It would take a while to get to the pistes (Ski hills). You could take the bus, or the lifts, which would take a while, but you can enjoy the nice view. There were many hills to go down from, all of them were fun, except the time when i accidentally fell off the lifts to get you up on the hill to ski, I was scared a bit. And my skis would keep falling out, luckily a trainer came down the hill and saw me, and helped me get them back on.||The stores nearby were amazing, on the first evening, i went to a pizza restaurant and the pizza was amazing. There were also stores that sold magnets (I love magnets) of Ruka.||There were also tours to places in Ruka. I went to 2 of them, Snowmobile riding, and watching the Reindeers. The snowmobile riding happened at night to see the Northern Lights, which was really cool. In the Reindeer watching, you could feed them, ride them, and there was also a hut that we went in, and got drinks, probably cranberry but it was yummy. there was a campfire in the middle, and we could roast marshmallows and eat them. After that, we went into another hut that had more things, there was hot chocolate, and food like cookies, it was like a bakery, we sat down and there was also sugar cubes. I love sugar cubes.|They also gave out reindeer meat, it was like dry. ||It is really safe to walk out at night too. The airport is only about 26 minutes so we did not have to rush at night. Our bus stop was just to the right of the Ski Chalet, really close.|The scenery is also very pretty, so if you have a camera, best to bring it here.

Perfect location for a week of skiing. We had a two bed apartment on the second floor which over looked the car park, I had requested slope view but we didn’t get one but that didn’t ruin anything. Beds very comfy although could use some better pillows. Kitchen well equipt with oven, kettle, toaster, stove and microwave and all cutlery pots pans etc you could need. Sofa a bit small for three to sit on comfortably. Nice dining area and balcony. We didn’t use the sauna. Washing machine and dryer cabinet extremely useful as was the ski storage area downstairs. Literally 2 mins from the gondola and ski lift so absolutely ideal and would stay here again, no issues with noise. Powerful shower and plenty of storage for clothes.

My husand and I stayed for a week in January booked through Crystal Ski. We just came for a break away to a different country and didn't ski. Ruka Ski Chalets are excellent. We had a two bed apartment ( Room 2203 ) on the second floor. The entire apartment was spacious with two bedrooms, 1 1/2 bathrooms, and a sauna. We had an excellent drying cupboard too. One thing I really loved was the apartment looked immaculate, no grotty paintwork and it was so clean. ||The view overlooked the slopes so we loved watching the skiers and snowboarders in action. The apartment was right in the village which suited us as it was a five minute walk to the K Market plus all the restaurants on your doorstep. We absolutely couldn't fault it and RUKA itself was beautiful. We would catch the gondola up to the top and admire the stunning views which were breathtaking on a sunny day. We would definitely consider returning some day.||I must mention the kitchenette which was extremely well equipped. We chose to cook ourselves most nights and we had everything we needed. All in all a fabulous place to stay.Book it, you wont regret it.
